This was the worst experience ever. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. I returned a pair of glasses after a few days. I was told I had 2 weeks to return them. Not true! They said I could get reading glasses that cost a lot less instead. I did not want anything at that time. They not only billed the insurance company and kept my money and the glasses but refused to release the benefits. I can not even go somewhere else for 2 years!!! Bad customer service!! ...read more

While Facebook users have been able to add pages for quite some time, You And Me Enterprises was recently introduced to some newly developed technologies that allow us to offer Facebook Business Fan Pages. It’s exciting if you understand the logistics and what Facebook Business Fan Pages can do for a business; specifically how it can skyrocket your business’ online popularity, which in turn can incease your in-store foot traffic. Facebook is one of the BIGGEST and fast-paced networking services to come along since YouTube first gained it’s popularity several years ago. Unlike Twitter, however, Facebook promises to be around for a very long time simply because it’s so vastly interactive. We’ve had clients ask us what’s so great about Facebook? Why does it have so much appeal? My opinion lies not in statistical researched data but more in understanding the human personality and behaviors. No person truly likes to be alone. We all like to spend time with our friends. But the problem lies in that life’s gotten busier, more hectic, more scheduled and we have less spare time. Couple that with the economic downturn we experienced beginning in 2008 (less money to spend) and you have the makings for Facebook’s popularity. Facebook allows you to visit with your friends without having to travel long distances, make special arrangements, manage calendar dates, take time away from work or gas up the car. On Facebook, visits happen when it’s convenient for both parties. Visits don’t have to consume days or hours either. A few minutes here, a half-hour there and you’re keeping that close connection going with your friends. This leaves the would-be scheduled vacation time open for offline activities with your family or working that necessary second job. Friends also get to do on Facebook – in virtual reality – the same things they’d do if they traveled three states away: chat, play games together, recommend movies, stores, videos, music and much more. They can share photos of their kids, their pets, their houses, their cars… you name it. It’s the next best thing to being there. In short, I believe that Facebook’s so popular because it allows us to accomplish staying close without sacrificing time and money spent to do it. So how does that tie in with a business? With your business? Let’s use our imagination a bit and pretend you own a dog salon, “Flealess Furry Friends”. Friend #1 – we’ll call her Annie – had an appointment with you to groom her toy poodle, “Penny”. Annie goes to Facebook after she finishes the dishes, laundry and tucks her children in for the night. She can’t wait to show her friends pictures of Penny all dolled and picture perfect. The first thing she does is publish her photos, then she tags them. Now she makes a post something like “Y’all check out Penny… Isn’t she cute with her pink bows and pink nails? She went for to the salon today.” Now, Friend #2 – we’ll call her Sue – “likes” the post that Annie made, by clicking the like button, and then comments: “Oh she’s soooo adorable! Luv her nails!” In Sue’s mind she thinking of her German Shepherd, “George”, who managed to go swimming in the kiddie pool immediately before rolling in the dirt driveway. Sue quickly posts “Where’d you go? George needs a bath! Tell me who you used.” Annie replies, “I went to Flealess Furry Friends. You should take George there. They handle walk-ins.” This is a critical moment for you, the business owner. Annie quickly searches for “Flealess Furry Friends” to see if you’re on Facebook. Will she find you? If she does, then she’ll “Like” your page. When she “Likes” your page, the action of her “liking” your page is recorded on her wall and passed along as News to all of her Facebook friends. Sue quickly clicks on the link that shows up in her News feed where Annie liked your Facebook page. Now Sue’s on your page which sports your hours, a map to your location, your phone number and other information. The next morning, Sue lugs George into her minivan to see you in person. You groom George and now he’s smelling nice and looking all handsome. Sue whips out her camera phone and takes some photos. They’ll be posted on Facebook just as soon as her hubby’s in front of the TV watching primetime and her day’s finished. She’ll “Like” your page which will be recorded on her wall and passed along to all of her Facebook friends in their News feeds. Can you guess what will happen at your business tomorrow?
