I worked for Patewood Memorial Hospital, I would not recommend it. I find the staff lacking in careing and compasion, I found out of 3 floor hospital you might have only 2 patients in the whole hospital, no real security expecially at night. I found the housekeeping staff to be lazy, the floor tech from Maine "Steve" to be nasty and rude and lack of saftey when operating the machines. Took my daughter to the ER at hillcrest. She has a Spinal cord Injury. Dr. Falcon came in and asked what was wrong. She told him she was having severe pain in her left leg that was partially paralyzed. He looked at her chart and immediately started in on her about taking narcotics. She said I dont want narcotics i am telling you that I have severe pain and I have never had this pain. I know what pain is because I live wiht pain everyday. but this is different and I cant handle it. he told her if she cant handle the pain she has no hope. She said I will tell you about Hope. 4 doctors told me I would never walk and I walked into this place so I know about hope. Come to find out she had the flu and inflamation around the scar tissue in her back. Steroids cleared it up in a few days. This idiot should not be working any ER he tells everyone they are there for pain meds. ...read more

I don't even know where to begin... ok lets start with making the appt. I am new to town about 20 other offices turned me away because i needed to wait till they received all kinds of paperwork and a bunch of other things, and they totally disregarded how sick my kids were and truly acted as if they didn't care. But this place took my boys in when i needed them to be seen the most. When we got there, we were welcomed as if it was a family members home. I really felt like i knew everyone there. My son started throwing up when we arrived they literally ran to his care, changed his clothes and made him as comfortable as they could. Then the doctor, oh my goodness she was just a blessing... Dr. Sue! She made my children smile and laugh and soon they forgot they were even sick. We felt better leaving there than before we came in. I really could go on and on about how wonderful this place made me feel but i am a parent that searched and searches before my kids see a doctor and no need to search more.
