Another pregnancy, same scenario, 4 years later, different doctors, different results. In 2013 I started having the same symptoms begining at 12 weeks as with the 2009 pregnancy with one HUGE difference. This time I went with Dr. Bang Giep at Spartanburg Pelham OBGYN. He immediately referred me to Regional Maternial Fetal Medicine, Dr's Scardo, Laye, and Vermillion. I was put on meds and bed rest, twice I had a cerclage, later I spent 10 weeks in the hospital, through all the complications, the baby made it full term and is a healthy, happy 4 month old at the time of this writing. This only serves to strengthen my resolve that the doctor makes all the difference for complication in pregnancy. These doctors listened when I told them I have a history of preterm delivery. Do not accept when the doctor tells you there is nothing they can do. They may lack the education/experience/desire, but there is always something they can do. Dr's.
