As we embrace a brand new year, many of us are filled with thoughts of the months and year past. We reflect on what we did that was memorable, what we achieved, what goals were checked off our lists, and what goals remained. Perhaps there are a few things we might wish we could do over, or do a little differently. Have you determined what you might want to include this year from 2016 goals? What are your goals for 2017? Have you made a list and prioritized that list? It is so important, if you have not yet done so, to set aside time to reflect on your passions and heart’s desires, and to make new goals for the new year. Think about realistic goals that will be easy to accomplish, as well as, more challenging goals that might take some planning and hard work to execute and accomplish to reach the desired results. Coaching is a great way to “organize your thoughts and plans” with an honest, non-judgmental mentor, friend, and personal "cheerleader" providing feedback and helping you to prioritize and get your plans moving in the right direction. Many of my clients come to me with their lofty goals, ideas, plans and dreams, but have no idea “how” to strategize, organize, and execute. I can help you with not only refining your ideas and goals, and developing a winning strategy, but organizing and prioritizing them as well. From brainstorming and clarifying what you most want to accomplish, to prioritizing how to get started, and determining what you most want and need to do to succeed, to organizing what should be at the top of your list, and then helping you with a different perspective and ideas on how to execute the plans and goals, with realistic timelines and steps. Before hiring a life coach for myself many years ago, I made resolutions for myself, and many times, they worked and were successful. Sometimes, I accomplished them, but I did so in a "less than" organized way. Or with less impact and success than I was striving for. When I hired my coach and began getting that guidance and honest feedback, along with more organization with a trusted “mentor” and “friend” by my side to offer good feedback, support, encouragement, and advice, with my progress updates, I found my goals and plans took on a whole new life and energy. And my “results” quotient went through the roof, because I now had a working plan and a coach to be accountable to, besides myself, regarding the progress being made from day to day, or week to week. This has been shown to be what makes all the difference in the level of success many people can achieve—that “extra” accountability and support system from having a live voice and sounding board guiding and assisting and holding you accountable to yourself, with the plans and goals along the way. I encourage you to consider hiring a coach to help you if you are someone with big plans that need a little “push” and “fire” to raise you to the next level of success. You will find having a trusted, honest, "right hand" support person you can confide in at the drawing board and on your “dream” team, might just be what takes you “over the top” to achieve your goals as never before!
