Product Knowledge:: What Hair Products Do You Use?
'Why is my hair falling out?' you may ask, or 'Why is my hair not growing?'. You could be doing all of the right things but not using the right products or vice versa. Hair Care is not just about one or the other, its both. You could be using the right relaxer for your hair but applying it improperly therefore overprocessing your hair. Depending on your hairs growth, your relaxers should be applied every 6-8 weeks and should be applied only to the newgrowth. Some people apply relaxer to almost all of the hair and wonder why their hair is thinning or breaking off. Well, this is why. One major tip I provide to seldom salon goers is that if nothing else at all, you need to see a professional for your relaxers (& color as well). Relaxers should NOT be done at home!Shampoo's&Conditioners are also a product you have to be careful about. There are a ton of different Shampoo's&Conditioners out there and they are all for different purposes. Before I became educated, I used to go to the beauty supply stores or Walmart and purchase the same Shampoos & Conditioners and wonder why they were doing absolutely nothing for my hair! Just as there are different purposes for combs and brushes, there are different purposes for Shampoo's & Conditioners so you should consult a professional about what you should be using. The Professional Product Lines I use are Avlon Products (Kera Care & Affirm) as well as Nioxin. * If you have a particular professional product line that you prefer to be used on your hair, it is no problem for me to get it in stock.
