We had been customers of Buckley Heating and Cooling in Rhode Island since 2006. After years of being a customer, I finally compared their heating oil prices and what I was actually getting for my 'service contract'. I paid ~70cents/gallon more than other delivery companies were charging (taking all fees into account). Buckley 'cancelled' my service contract on my but 1. did not let me know and 2. never returned my >$200 fee. I am still dealing with them on that matter, but since then, I have a much cheaper, local heating oil delivery place and a nice local company that services my furnace. I had scheduled an appoint for some A/C repair work and then they called five hours before the appointment time that they would not be able to make the scheduled appointment that day. I had made arrangements and changed my schedule to be there at the appointed time. They are very undependable. I would not recommend ...read more

I've rented two homes in Middletown and Newport where I've had little choice, but to buy my heating oil and obtain service needs from Buckley Heating & Cooling. I can tell you from two years experience of headaches that Buckley Heating & Cooling is THE WORST. I used to wonder if they were run by the devil! THEY ARE THAT BAD! They had once charged my bank account twice on one oil bill, a bill I had already paid myself. They once grabbed $538 from my bank account once when I hadn't even allowed for automatic payments at that house! They had rude and unreliable office staff and some of their service techs the same! I will never again sign another lease agreement if Buckley's name is on it! I recommend anyone reading this to stay away from them! ...read more
