On December 2006 an intermediate eye exam was preformed by the Ophthalmology Assoc. of York for a predetermined fee of $95.00. The business in question offer a payment program in which payment would be mailed. Due to a job loss (out of my control) the remaining $45.00 owed was placed in hardship. Between the dates of Feb 2007 and April 2007 the Opth. Assoc of York charged an additional $20 for the re-billing service (fee), brining the total to $65.00. Due to a dispute with the billing department over this **44% service fee**, the account was handed-off to a collection company and I was notified in late 2007 regarding who to pay and how. Payment of the TOTAL balanced owed was was mailed and cashed on Nov 2007. Now, months go by and here is ANOTHER bill from them demanding ANOTHER $24.12.... The account was paid in full, and I feel it is morally and unethical to continually re-bill a client for the course of a year(s). Enough of these games, I want to file this review against the OPHTHALMOLOGY ASSOCIATES OF YORK for there questionable re-billing service fees and practices. \t\n\t\nDESIRED OUTCOME: I do not wish nor recommend anyone to deal with OPHTHALMOLOGY ASSOCIATES OF YORK. ...read more
