I have $43 range hood (Nutone,Inc:Model RL6200) and I need a service for repair. They charged $184.97 for just taking a look. We've worked with other service comopanies in electrical and plumbing repair and had never paid $184 just for a diagnosis. When I called them I felt misled about the fact they were charging $85 to visit, plus another $85 for the technicians opinion. All other business I'd worked with in the past would have a flat rate to see what the problem was, then a fee for a repair if we choose to repair and often the diagnosis is often applied to the repair as well. The Ham Buerger charges $85( just callup) and $85 (lookup) regadless if we want to fix or not.
