When someone calls an office for counseling, usually it is because they are suffering in some way. So I am not sure why a mental health office would hire a receptionist who is gruff, curt, abrupt, rapid-fires questions at you and cuts you off as you try to answer, and hangs up on callers in crisis. If the professional staff at this office consider this acceptable behavior for a receptionist at a mental health office, I shudder to think at the quality of care of the actual therapists and counselors who work there. These are the type of dirt bags that give lawyers a bad name. They use robo-callers to dial old phone numbers of deadbeats. If you ever have the misfortune of getting a phone number that was ever given to a creditor by a deadbeat, you'll get a call from them with an ominous recording that you can't stay on the line if you're not the person THEY are trying to reach. They provide no way to opt out of the calls even if you've never dealt with them. I'm on the national and the state "Do Not Call" lists, have never dealt with them and they call anyway asking for someone else. The rooms were dirty and had a musty smell. The bed sheet had a stain and the bathrooms were dirty! Nothing like a "hotel" style room (as they claim)! The sleep study tech didn't seem to know what she was doing but they had her training a new hire! I guess you don't need any education to be a sleep tech. I was prescribed a CPAP but I was unable to get used to it until I was retested at a different lab. Come to find out the sleep techs in Dunmore didn't adjust the CPAP pressure right or use the right type of mask. I am a mouth breather so I needed an oral/nasal mask. I am now 6 months into wearing CPAP and didn't miss a night! I lost 18 pounds and feel great! Bottom line is, if you want your test done right the first time avoid going to the sleep disorder center in dunmore! ...read more

the office staff were extremely unprofessional rude. did i mention unprofessional? they decided the day before my scheduled appointment that they were not going to allow me to be seen, because my insurance was paying other clients' claims late. so after receiving a full mailbox message when contacting me through voicemail, they decided that one unsuccessful attempt was good enough. so after driving 45 minutes to the office, we had to wait 40 minutes before even filling out forms. after the forms were complete and handed back in, we were told we "would be an issue." you would think that because they tried to call the day before and didn't get me, that they would be expecting us? stuff happens, and insurances change. my problem is the way their office staff handled the situation. have a heart people, there's no reason to be rude about it!!!! bottom line, i walked out of there more annoyed than anything, and will not recommend them to anyone, based on their lack of professionalism. ...read more

I arrived and had no problems with receptionist (Kathy) or Karen who brought me back to the preparation area. Janice was friendly and conversive and professional as she placed the IV in. Dr. and staff in the ""scope"" room were very attentive. I am a nurse by trade and I was in a great mood until Melissa Z. showed up to take my IV out. I made the MISTAKE of taking my arem out of my gown! Slap me now! She has alot to learn about bedside manner . I would have not talked to a patient the way she spoke to me. I would have handled it in a more gentler way and I told her so. She doesn't even smile. She needs sensitivity training. I hope he supervisor can help her. People in her position must be nice no matter what side of the bed they woke up on! ...read more
