My wife and I are photographers. We covered a wedding reception at the Wendell Inn on 11-12-11. After the toasts and speeches we went looking for a place to rest our gear and ourselves, as well as grab a bite to eat. I stopped Sue, who seemed as busy as a server could be at dinner hour, and asked if she knew where the vendors are set up to eat. She asked me to stay put, and that she would set us up in the back. Within a couple of minutes the very busy Sue, led us to a table by the fireplace set for two w/ folded napkins, silverware and a pitcher of water w/ glasses. Sue told us to help ourselves to the buffet and asked if there was anything else we needed. As a long time member of the food service industry and a long time wedding photographer , who frequents catering halls weekly. I can appreciate good service from two different points of view. Sue went above and beyond the call of duty (by today's standards for sure) and made us feel welcome. Thanks Sue :) ...read more
