I do not recommend Wendy as a therapist. She does not provide helpful advice. She is callous and dismissive of any issues you may have. She forgets what you gave been discussing from appointment to appointment. You have to spend the first 15 minutes of a 45 minute session reminding her of what you discussed previously. It is a waste of money. On top of that, she sometimes browses the web while you are talking to her! I caught her checking her email once, and reading a news website another time. I found this extremely insulting. She does not take her patients seriously. It is also next to impossible to schedule emergency appointments with her, as she takes a lot of time off. If you want an appointment with her, be prepared to wait 2-3 weeks.\nIf I could give her less than a 1 star rating I would. It was told to us that our mother could not return home independently and that she might be more care then we could provide in our home. The social worker at the hospital recommended several locations. We visited most but found Charles Morris to be refreshing, open and able to me our mothers needs. This was our first experience with nursing homes and we had no idea what to expect. The administration had an open door policy and was very receptive to our needs and concerns. We would recommend this facility to others as we found the staff to be attentive and helpful. I have been living with pain for the past 10 years and I went to at least 5 different doctors before my Primary Care Physician referred me to Dr. Eisel. She spent over an hour with me on my first visit and took the time to explain everything. My 65 year old mother was sent to this home for rehab treatment after chemo and radiation. When she entered the home, she was alert and responsive. She became quite confused, had trouble going to the bathroom, and started a rapid decline in health that the employees at the center contributed to the meds she was on. However on Sat. May 30th, 2009, I arrived to see her in bed with dirty diapers on, and completely unresponsive. I asked how long she had been like this and they stated most of the day as if there should be no concern. I asked to speak to the nurse in charge and was told he was on lunch break! This was a medical emergency! I had my Mother removed at once via ambulance and rushed to Shadyside Medical Center to find out that she was overmedicated, completely dehydrated and going into kidney failure, had a urinary tract infection and had sedis colitas. Is neat and clean. Various activities are provided. Meals are above adequate. I would recomend to family or friend. Carestaff are for the most part friendly and careing but would reccomend additional training within medical aspects. Communication is also key to providing sufficient care. I am a male 6ft 2, 280 lbs. I had a low back disk issue that seriously compromised my quality of life. Most days I could not even get out of bed. On the good days, when I would get on my Harley Davidson, driving three miles was unbearable. I was scheduled for surgery. It seemed like the only option to improve my life. It was hard not to notice my condition. I could not stand up straight and walked hunched over all the time. I ran into Dr Eisel and her husband one day, I was in horrible pain every step hurt. I was explaining to Dr Eisel that I was scheduled for back surgery in 3 weeks. Dr Eisel suggested I come see her before having surgery. At that point, I figured I had nothing to lose. I must say that the day I came to Eisel Chiropractic I was afraid!! My husband kept telling me I needed to try Chiropractic services. I have lived with headaches for my entire adult life and I am in my middle 40's. To my amazement Dr. Eisel was very patient the adjustments didn't hurt at all!! After two sessions I could tell I was feeling much better the headaches were gone. I was very impressed with her tremedous medical knowledge and her abilities to find and adjust all my problems. I know that when I now have stress and my neck goes out of alignment I can see her to fix the problem. Dr Eisel has got to be the best chiropractic doctor anywhere. She takes more time with her patients to truly understand them, not just what their symptoms and treatment should be. This helps the patient better understand themself. I recently had severe back pain for which I had seen my M.D. After a quick diagnosis, I was off to the drugstore to fill three different prescriptions. Pain meds, muscle relaxer and a round of steroids. After a week of that, the pain was still so intense, I was taking a pain pill as soon as my feet hit the floor after getting out of bed in the morning. Went to see Dr. Eisel and after the second visit, the next morning I didn't need the pain meds any more. It still hurts, but I can at least tolerate the pain now with no medication. There is just no comparison between chiropractors - she's a giant leap above the rest. My medical doctor recommended her because I had severe low back pain and he had heard good things about her work. I saw an orthopedic surgeon before I went to her and he wanted to go in and fuse my spine. I didn't think anything could help. Pains gone and I'm back to work and enjoying my life again! And now docs working on my daughter with her curved spine. She showed me x-rays of other kids that she has fixed with scoliosis. My wife and I talked to one of the moms of one of the girls that she fixed. She fixed her spine in one month and that was over 5 years ago - and she is still completely fine. Dr. Eisel was highly recommended to my by a friend of the family who said that they had gone to her and she fixed a back problem that he had had for many years. He said that he had tried several other doctors, including medical doctors and chiropractors, and nobody, other than Dr. Eisel, even came close to fixing the problem. I gave her a call myself because I had been suffering with neck pain and migraine headaches and not only did she quickly fix my problem but she knew SOOO much about health and diet and physical fitness!
