We stayed for one night and did not want to leave. The hotel is a little more than we would normally spend but the views are worth it. The rooms are lovely and spacious. The bathroom had shower and tub. The views of the city from the rooms are amazing. ...read more

I first encounter Tallula's food service at some friends' house. Starting with the hors d'oevres and continuing the main dishes and dessert, I was very impressed with the quolity of the food, as well as with the presentation. I had them since prepare all the parties at our house, and I feel it is getting better each time. They are preparing new dishes, surprizing the clients, but they are also keeping old favorites in the menu. I am from Europe, and I like refined food. Lilly's Gourmet Pasta Express Is Open in Squirrel Hill!
Lilly's Gourmet Pasta Express has opened on Forbes Avenue in the heart of Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, PA. Lilly D’Alelio came to the United States twenty years ago from Milan, Italy, with an idea to make the best and the healthiest pasta. She started making pasta in a small store in Everett, Massachusetts. Her son, Antonio AKA “The Pastaman”, joined her and together they have grown into one of the finest and best known pasta manufacturers in the greater Boston area. Lilly still works long days and has created an extensive selection of all natural pastas. Antonio and his Mom arrived in Boston in 1986, and 4 months later started a pasta company called Lilly's Gastronomia Italiana. Like every Italian kid raised with the "hard work first and work even harder later" kind of mentality, he would go down to the pasta factory to go work everyday after practice. There, he would learn something new from his mom about how to run the business. After working in the factory for 10 years, Antonio started a 2 year professional chef program at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, going into business shortly after graduation. Now, 15 years later he started a fresh pasta concept, which today does business as LILLY'S GOURMET PASTA EXPRESS and that's how it all stared to evolve.
