I have lived at Henry on the Park for about two years and I have not enjoyed much of my residence here. I have had multiple misunderstandings with the leasing office due to their disorganization. I went into the leasing office to review some safety, health, and appliance concerns I had been having and contingent upon the fact they were fixed I was planning to sign a lease renewal. We'll I was duped into signing a lease that apparently I am being held to and in order to leave I must pay a $1300 fine! The requests that I made (an exterminator for waterbugs, my balcony gate to be fixed for safety, my garbage disposal to be fixed since we had 22 occasions over one year of it clogging, and our carpets to be shampooed which was advertised as a courtesy for lease renewals) were NOT ever done! Any of them! I requested that a final copy of my lease be sent to me after these things were taken care of. It came, Henry on the park, Held me to a paper I signed in the leasing office the day I voiced my requests. They voiced it was a mistake to send me a lease in the mail that said ""Please sign and Return"" I was never told that by signing this I was agreeing to the terms regardless if my requests were not fulfilled. I still have waterbugs (EW!), a weak garbage disposal, I had to pay someone to fix my gate, and I shampooed my carpets. The leasing manager would not understand any of my concerns and told me that I will need to pay the fine to get out of my lease regardless if these things were taken care of or not! VERY RUDE and not helpful. I would not recommend you live here. The leasing office causes many problems due to their lack of communication with each other and their rude personalities, the manager. I got the impression they are out for your money and that?s it. They raise the rent each year and the utilities are outrageous in the summer and winter.
