Fishtown Richmond Realty

1.0

By Anonymous

I am incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at Fishtown Richmond Realty, specifically, Bruce. I inquired about a property listed on their site and was emailing back and forth with Debbie, who seemed very accommodating and promptly responded back to me. Unfortunately, I had to reschedule my showing for a later time so I ended up booking a 5:45pm showing with Bruce instead of Debbie. I was driving to Fishtown from out of state and my roommate was driving from over an hour away to see the property but we both ended up getting caught in rush hour traffic and bad weather. Before I even had a chance to pull over to give Bruce a courtesy call, he called me to see where I was; It was 5:35 and my appointment was at 5:45. I informed Bruce I was rushing to get there but was stuck in bad traffic and would be between 5-10 minutes late, Bruce sighed and gave me the impression I was wasting his time but agreed to wait for my roommate and I. Bruce then called me back at 5:37 to tell me that I should take a different route to his office, I thanked him for the tip and re-confirmed that he would be okay waiting for us. Bruce then calls me back a third time at 5:39 and tells me that he "had to be in the suburbs" and decided he was not going to wait for us. Naturally, I became a little upset as he twice confirmed he would wait for us and then cancelled the appointment 6 minutes before the time of the showing. I explained to him that I had been in the car for 90 minutes and my roommate was driving from an hour away but he would not change his mind. So I then proceeded to tell (I did not yell) Bruce that he came recommended to me by a friend and how I was very disappointed with how unprofessional he was. Bruce again gave me the impression that I was wasting his time, unapologetically stated "well sorry" AND THEN BRUCE HUNG UP ON ME. The following day, my roommate called Debbie to make an appointment with her and the unit was "already rented"... just 18 hours after we were supposed to see the place? Sounds fishy. I would never recommend giving up your hard earned money to support this man's living. I truly wish I read his horrible reviews before making the 95 mile round trip to Fishtown only to be blown off and treated so poorly. I am a younger woman, so I guess Bruce felt he did not feel that I was deserving of respectful customer service; It's too bad for Bruce that I am the niece of a realtor and understand that I am fully entitled to file a grievance against his office with the Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors, of which he is a member of (I fully plan to do so). ...read more

I'd leave 0 stars if I could. They don't manage to property they just collect their commission! When I first called about the property I was interested in, they sent me to another property where I couldn't afford, come to find out that other property was owned by Ed Rueter! When I told him that was not the property I called About he then took me to a property that I could afford. Ed Rueter showed me my storage space, only to find out I only get about 1/4 of the space. I should've never dealt with these people, no matter what the situation they tell me I am wrong! Beware of Rueter Realty! ...read more
