I'm speaking the gods honest truth when tell you this. Mckennas is not the bar to have a good day or night out at. The owner and owners daughter are both loosing there there better judgment on running a bar, I personally have not been flagged or had any problems myself but seen first hand people flagged and fired for no reason. For instance the night bartender Ann will flag a customer for playing music to loud and skip your songs forget about having a little fun and dancing and getting a little rowdy your gone. I've also witnessed first hand bartenders accused of stealing (when there's cameras everywhere) just so the daughters friends could get jobs, so I wouldn't recommend getting a job there if you don't want being label a thief on your resume then don't apply there. I've also witnessed a bartender who brought in a friend African American as a customer and the bartender was contacted by the owner and was told by the owner she don't appreciate her bringing in them customers and was also fired two days later by another friend of the daughter. Candela's is a rip off! I had my wedding reception there 2 weeks ago and my family paid $1,200 for 6 hours (2pm-8pm). They kicked us out at 7pm stating we owed them money and Estella trashed all of my sentimental pieces (cake cutter, reception programs, etc). They started a renovation a week before my reception and promised it would be completed by the 26th, in which it wasn't. There were stripped walls and no cash bar, and I was totally embarrassed and disappoint. Should I sue? ...read more

It was my wife's birthday and we decided to have her birthday party there, the only space available was the basement, no air conditioning was offered, we were told its an open space available to patrons to use the bathroom, we decorated the space for party, while were gone to get ready, some patrons were allowed to destroy some of our decorations, sit in the space and leave their trash and beer bottles and make smart comments about being downstairs with us when we talked to the Manager of Tabu, he just gave us an excuse, no sympathy was given because of this ignorance and disrespectful act of some of Tabu's patrons.
