The Goddard School

We picked the Goddard school because we thought the owners being on premise would be a positive thing, but we were wrong. Our daughter was in the infant room. When entering the room, it was a negative energy from day one, like you were inconveniencing them by dropping your child off. Eye contact with the care providers was sparse and expecting a “good morning” greeting was too much to ask for on most occasions from the room leader. I’ll give them credit though, that changed about two months in, and a complete 180 took place, it eventually became a much better experience. We thought we were paying for a premium experience at this location ($14,000 yearly), they didn’t hold themselves accountable to there own standards. After speaking with friends and peers it became apparent the care our daughter was receiving was not up to par, even with other Goddard locations. We had a couple of great providers who ...read more

Short Stuff & Co., Inc.

I have a child who has been attending Short Stuff for 1 1/2 years. My daughter and I are very happy and comfortable with this day care and that is saying a lot on my part. It is very hard to find a center that you can be completely comfortable with caring for your young child(ren) but this is the one. My daughter is happy, healthy and well-adjusted. Any time that I have had any questions the director and teacher(s) have been available and attentive. I have not had a single incident that has made me question anything about the center. If you tour the facility and meet with the director you will not leave it unhappy. ...read more

Short Stuff & Co., Inc.

This review of Short Stuff & Co is so completely outrageous and malicious, I felt I had to comment on it. My name is Beth. I am the director at Short Stuff. I have thought about how I wanted to respond to such a venom filled review. Something like this brings into focus how sad it is that anyone can say anything they like, true or not, in a public venue. The individual who is responsible for writing this hate-filled review, used to work here. There was a time when I wouldn't have believed she was capable of writing something like this. She hasn't given a single thought to how these accusations might have hurt ex-coworkers. Co-workers who have small children of their own! Co-workers who treated her with respect and as a friend. Short Stuff & Co is a fine school. The owners care deeply about providing quality care in a beautifully maintained and decorated building. Every classroom and play yard is monitored by closed circuit cameras to ensure the safety and well being of the children here. So, abuse like she describes can't happen! If there was even the slightest question, the tapes would be reviewed. Staff members who stay with the company are dedicated to the children and families here. They are open, honest, friendly and hard working individuals who work as a team. They have excellent work ethics and they are always willing to go the extra mile. I am proud to have the staff I have today! I invite anyone to come visit our center and see for yourself. To the young lady who posted this: You have given the impression that you know quite alot about everything and everybody, however, there's a difference between an OPINION and an ACCUSATION! What you've posted here is NOT an opinion. What you planned to do was damage the reputation of the school by making malicious and slanderous accusations about me, about the owner and the staff, and you did it thinking no one could prove who wrote it and there would be no consequences for your actions. That's not the case at all. ...read more
