About Nicholson, PA
Nicholson is a borough in Wyoming County of Pennsylvania. It covers a total land area of 1.3 sq miles only and is located at the place where the Martin's and Tunkhannock Creeks converge. It derived its name from John Nicholson, who was a landholder and state comptroller. It is known for its Nicholson Bridge and its folklore and legend. Major attractions include Tunkhannock Creek Viaduct, which is the longest concrete railroad bridge and history of Deffenbaugh Site. Among the biggest companies in Nicholson are Nicholson Tire Service Inc, and Nicholson Lumber Company. The biggest school here is the Nicholson Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Nicholson is the Deffenbaugh Site.
