If your exprience is as bad as it sounds is there a reason one one contacted the Better Business Bureau? I have done a search for complaints about Alexanderia Manor and found they are not accredited by the BBB. They do have BBB rating of A+ due to the fact they don't have any complaints filed. It would be good to expose any business that delivers poor service for our loved ones. I am looking at this business and will fille a complaint if needed. ...read more

I know that it takes a unique person to care for the elderly, and yet I believe this person should be understanding as well, and I know my grandfather is a stubborn yet very inquisitive and outgoing man, but, when nurses are found sleeping on the very expensive leather couches that fill the halls of this facility when my grandfather bleeds after a minor injury in the middle of the night, or the food consists of only a half sandwich with a heal of lettuce to top it off long with a measly cup of soup for a 180 pound man, I find it far from comforting or concerned with pa Additionally, there are many other incidents, while I still consider the personality of my grandfather and the side of the nurses as well, that are simply immoral. I have learned from his past year that looks are deceiving, that while it this manor may look beautiful and comforting to those visiting or touring, much of the staff is not. How disappointing to see the menu for the residents here. There is no consideration of what they want. We watched the one night and they were given a salami sandwich with pea soup. Not one person on the floor I was visiting ate this. Nothing was offered in place. Another day while visiting for a full day, no veggies were served for the day. Weekends seem to be worse. Wouldn't it be nice if residents were allow to give their input on what to be served. So many of them like fresh fruit or vegatables, not even this summer was it served. Oh yes, watermelon, there was four pieces the size of dice in the dishes. Why aren't they given a weekly menu and choose what they would like to eat, if other facility can work this way, why not this one. No diets are followed, soft diet ..reaction what is that.
