Hired this lawyer to handle an oil and gas lease. He had brought up a number of issues concerning gas leases and didn't follow up on any of them. He later admitted that the gas company had never agreed to things he had presented as key points to negotiate. He did not return phone calls or respond to letters and emails about points I wanted in the lease. I ended up having to negotiate what I could directly with the company's landman. His entire effort seemed to consist of having the landman provide a lease he had previously signed off on that included some minor amendments I had no interest in. His paralegal would not discuss anything, only pass on messages to him like an answering service. His charges seemed trumped up, too, including charges for his free consultation, office visits that didn't take place, and other things that seemed odd given the minimal service provided. ...read more
