Emil P. Weiss Landscaping, Inc.

5.0

By Harry Noerenberg

Emil Weiss recently completed a few projects at my hone. First he did a thorough trimming and pruning of all the plants and bushes on my lot. Second, he rearranged several existing plants and added many new plants in a totally new landscape design. Third, he added new accent lighting to the front of my house. I am very pleased with his work. My landscaping has a definite professional look to it now. The work was performed in a timely manner, and Emil worked with me to give me what I wanted within my budget. He offered insightful suggestions and was very courteous. I interviewed several companies, but there is no doubt that Emil Weiss was the best. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a professional to design and upgrade their landscaping. ...read more

Heavy snowfall again....

Remember when the snow is heavy on your plants, do not go out there and start hitting the snow off. It is better to let the snow stay the way it is and when the sun comes out again, the snow's weight will melt a bit and branches will spring back. Hitting the snow off plants does more damage than good to the plant and it is wasteful energy for what the sun can do for you. ...read more

Plants are showing lots of burn this year already!

Looks like Spring is just around the corner but the plants in your and everyone else's garden are not looking so good. Ground cover, and lawns alike are in poor shape from a snow cover for such a long period.  That was caused by the horrible winter we had and you need to take the necessary steps to allow plants to recover from an awful cold, icy winter.   Normally plants always recover, but with the temperatures dipping into the single digits, that usually causes some plants to die or just die back to the ground as with plants like the ever popular Crape myrtles.  Soon when the temperatures go up, you will see that the leaves on many broadleaved evergreens look burnt.   That is caused by the reflective rays of the sun, and it is possible that many leaves will start to defoliate once the sap gets moving in the plant.  Please do not be alarmed, since many plants may do that in a sun expsoure and then they will resprout and send out new foliage for the later spring.  Many plants will return, but it is possible that you will have to cut back some plants lower than you normally do in the past few years.     We will be available for consultations of any plants and properties, and can provide FULL Spring clean-ups for your properties.  Just call at 610-892-0969, leave a message and we will return that day. ...read more
