I have been doing business with Rumbergers for years and found they stand do very good work, fair prices and only do what is necessary to get the vehicle fixed and back on the road.\t\n\t\nSpecifically, I had far more cases where the price was less than they estimated than over and each time it was more they called me before doing the work with an explanation.\t\n\t\nJohn Rumberger.......the owner....is there everyday and does work on cars, if you have a problem with your bill or a mechanic talk to him.\t\n\t\nThere is nothing more I would want from a place that works on my cars and trucks and certainly in the last 15 have had no reason to go to others for repairs. Yes, like all of us I wish getting cars and trucks worked on was less expensive, but Rumbergers pricing is fair and they do great work and have honesty and integrity. ...read more

I took my car there because the Check Engine light was on and there was also a knocking noise any time I hit a dip in the road. So, they charged $37 to find the code (too bad I can get that done for free at Advanced Auto, and DID and told them the code! They then said that they "could not figure out the problem" So... they charged me for the code I already gave them, and did not look further into it!\t\n\t\nNext up.. the knocking. Well... rather than check anything such as suspension or loose engine mounts they decided to just knock some ice off my mudflaps, charge me another $37 and call it a day!\t\n\t\nWASTE OF MONEY! When I called back the "mechanic" was very rude and said that I could bring it back in, only to be guaranteed another charge to look again! ...read more

For example, I had to ask them to put in the water pump. Also, I requested the expensive iridium spark plugs and they double-checked with me due to the high price of the plugs. ...read more
