About Ligonier, PA
Ligonier, which was settled in the 1760's, is a city located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Even though it is a relatively small city, it is home to many major attractions such as Idlewild Park, which is one of the oldest amusement parks in the country and Fort Ligonier Days, an annual arts and crafts festival. Other attractions include Story Book Forest, The Compass Inn and Linn Run State Park. Students here attend Ligonier Valley School District. Other schools in the area include the Valley School of Ligonier and the Ligonier Valley Learning Center. There are quite a few small and locally owned stores and restaurants including Antiques on the Town Square, The County Cupboard, Casa Chapala, and Cool Springs Express.
