I rented a home in Lancaster from Dan in 2005-2007, along with two other house-mates. Overall, I was happy with the experience and wished I still rented from him. When we had problems with the house, which was fairly seldom, I would call Dan and the problem would generally be fixed promptly. I never witnessed any of the "irrational behavior" or outbursts, and would generally describe him as friendly.\t\n\t\nWe paid our rent on time, didn't hassle him over minor problems, and didn't trash the place (aside from two holes put in the wall). When we left, we got our full security deposit back, despite the damage to the walls. I've never had a landlord NOT nickel-and-dime my security deposit, so that was great.\t\n\t\nI can't attest to what Dan is like if you're not paying your rent on time or have other problems, but I would take the other reviews on this page with a grain of salt. ...read more
