I had a different experience. I sold some gold and silver coins for a very slight discount to gold spot and at silver spot, and bought some slabbed gold coins at a reasonable premium. You should know what you have, though, as the other reviewer said. I have collected coins for a very long time and he knows that. Only offered spot minus 3 percent for some pretty premium collectible 200 year old uncirculated slabbed gold which typically go on eBay etc. for over 25-50% more than spot. These people are crooks if you are selling gold or silver. They quote you a great price but cheat you on the scales and coin counter. If you go there make sure you know the exact weight and or number of coins. The place is a dump with hundreds of different types of coffee cans lining the walls with cions in them. My fist thought was low overhead, but they will rob you blind if you don't know what you are doing.
