The local box chain would like to claim THEY have the best selection of "Local" produce. Of course they mean from some place in PA. Reeder's Farm is another gem in Forks. BEST Produce, friendliest service, nicest bags (No joke, great bags you can reuse of paper.) Great advice as well on gardens and more. I'm a Lancaster Farming subscriber after Russ gave me a few old copies. They have an mazing memory for all customers who come. No matter if it is four days a week, or once a month. They know what you like. America needs more family farms like Reeder's. Why put cash into giant agri-business (who often cut serious corners, and often use cheap foreign labor.) when you can walk with Russ, and have a American family of many generations cultivate your greatest meals. I rarely get by now living in the Poconos but when I was a Easton resident, it was a regular destination! I'd give 10 Stars if I could! ...read more

This is by far the best farm stand I've ever been to. Russ and Naydene really know how to make customers happy. My kids enjoy being able to choose which brocoli head or beets they want, and they really love watching the chickens. You can't go wrong at Reeder Farms: their produce is as fresh as can be and Naydene's goodies are outta this world. Add a pinch of advice from Russ and Naydene about your own garden or canning, and you have the perfect way to build a community. ...read more

Thanksgiving

Well Tom is in the oven! And now we are on count down the clock started at 4:45 am 10 hours 33 mins to go. How big you ask? 31.52 pounds! As Russell unveiled this master marvel, he decided to run for the hills! Tom is 3 of Belvidere. On a more serious note: Thank you for being part of what we do everyday and allowing us to live and share our passions. As that is a gift in itself. We always look at our yesterdays to help keep our today’s humble.  So do not fret if the bird is dry or the potatoes are runny and the gravy is lumpy. You may have tears in you eyes for it is your first year preparing the feast andwe want perfect… and if it is not, it does not matter it is about sharing a moment that will create a memory that will last a lifetime.  My one Aunt we still laugh about it some 25 years later. She left the neck in the turkey and when she tried to get a thermometer reading it did not give the true temp. So, after 8 hours when it should have been done in 5. The bird was a bit done! Remember it is always about the FREE stuff. What we give of ourselves to each other.  ...read more
