Carlisle is a college town located in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in the Cumberland Valley. During the colonial days, it was known as a military supply post and today, it is known for its historic sites and multi-cultural events. Major attractions in Carlisle are historic downtown and the Army Heritage Trail at AHEC. Each year, Carlisle hosts 10 seasonal automotive events including the "Ford Nationals" and "Corvettes and Carlisle." Carlisle is home to Dickinson College, Dickinson School of Law of Penn State University and the U.S. Army War College.
