I have a 2 year old with autism. He receives in home speech therapy and out-patient therapy at Crossroads Speech. Crossroads therapists work very well with my son and have taken into account his young age. Other clinical speech providers in our area were not able to provide services for my son because he was so young. He didn't fit their traditional model for clinical speech. Crossroads has been able to adapt to his special needs, and works very well with my son's wraparound therapists. We have had to take my son to several speech therapists as we moved. By far, the staff at crossroads are the best. The therapists there were the only ones who would spend time to talk to me, and keep me updated on progress and what they have accomplished each session. Not only can I actually see improvement after EACH session, but Jake really enjoys it! (unlike everywhere else I have had to drag him to). His stuttering, [R's] and [S's] have all improved at a quick rate, not to mention my insurance is covering. Update: New McMurray office makes the new Crossroads more convienient with a better location for us! Also Wexford and Brentwood branches ...read more
