Quality Hardwoods

Had a hard time getting in touch with this company, didn't return calls. Unwilling to work with the customer and their needs. Was rude and dismissive on the phone - made assumptions about situation without taking the time to understand what I was asking of them. I was actually lectured to over the phone about what good customer service is/is not, after stating I was unhappy with other business practices of his competitors in the area (at the time I wasn't even referring to him!!!!). Cancelled appointment for estimate without giving explanation or alternative dates. This was my experience, and a friend had a similar poor experience with this company, so it wasn't just me and my situation. HIGHLY recommend staying away from this business - apparently they're doing so well they can't be bothered with new business. I plan to have my floors refinished (whole house) in the near future and will be going to another company with whom I had the exact opposite experience. This guy missed out on our business because he wouldn't take the time for his customer. ...read more

Mount Nittany Horse Farm

5.0

I board at Mount Nittany, and can't imagine a better place for me and my mare. The atmosphere is so peaceful and comfortable--everyone from the horses and people to the dogs and cats are peaceful! Marietta, the barn manager, is friendly, knowledgeable, and cares for nothing more than taking good care of your horse. We also have great access to vet, farrier, and even an equine chiropractor and accupuncturist. We're very low key--if you're into competition, it may not be the right spot for you. But if you want to enjoy your horse with other sweet animals and friendly humans, I highly recommend! ...read more

Springfield House Bed and Breakfast

Great location on Main St., Boalsburg. Each bedroom has its own private bath, TV/DVD combos with a great variety of movies to borrow. House is nicely decorated to its era with a large front porch area or backyard to relax. Hosts are friendly and accommodating with breakfast, which was very delicious. Handy for summer arts festivals, PSU football or other campus activities. Would highly reccommend! Not to mention the superb chocolate shop. Love those dark chocolate pretzels!! ...read more
