There was a bright orange "Special" tag describing the 24 12 oz bottles by brand and type name in front of the case of beer that we picked up in the cooler. When it rang up at a different price we showed the clerk the sign. Did the clerk say "Oh, I'm sorry that shouldn't be there or I'm sorry that was last week"? No he was belligerent and rude told us he couldn't sell it for that, he wasn't forcing us to buy and too bad. Mistakes happen. But false advertising and rudeness is never acceptable.
