Up until this past weeekend I would say that for the most part they are great and as other people say, accomodating. \t\n\t\nMaxwell was the ONLY cab service I used when leaving my home. From May until October of 2011 I have been a faithful customer calling them at least 3 times a week, to at one point everyday. \t\nUntil this past weekend\t\nI called for my Cab on Sunday Morning @ 8:25am, (I called early incase there was a wait, which is usually no more than 20 minutes but I HAD to get to my Job on time and SEPTA on Sunday is horrible) I talked to the usually friendly dispatcher and he said, quote "8:45, well be there" just like always. I proceed to settle my 2 and 4 yr old for the day with their grandmother. I walked out my door @ 8:45 on the dot to see my cab going down the street!!!!!\t\n\t\nI called the dispatched back, knowing it had to have been a mistake, because I felt like other people mentioned I felt I was a regular and u always take care of your regulars. Well this was not so! The dispatcher tells me again I quote, "Oh I'm sorry ma'am, I just got an airport call in the area and he couldn't be late" WHAT?!?!?! I have to be at work I CAN"T BE LATE!!!!! I called you twenty minutes ago. The guy says the driver was knocking and ringing the door bell, (which can't be true because I don't have a door bell) and no one answered. First of all I was in my kids room and second I said I'll be ready @ 8:45 (which is when I walked out my door) so why are u knocking at my door @ 8;40??? What did u think a person who always gives u service is going to stiff you? \t\n\t\nI had to wait over 20 minutes from this point( which again, is why I called early to avoid). From the time I called to the time I got in the cab,45 minutes had passed. The dispatcher had the poor driver speed racing because he was a jerk. And to a regular??? I don't know if they just got a new dispatcher and he need to be fired or what.\t\n\t\nThis isn't the first incident, On july 3, 2011, also a sunday my mother (who is also an advid maxwell fan) called for a cab to get to my kids christening, to ensure us being on time, they were 15 minutes late then, making it impossible for me to have the before service meeting!!!!!\t\n\t\nTo conclude this tryade, I was 30 minutes late, had my pay docked by my boss who warned us about being late, which is why I called the cab, and had to pay for my ride!!!!! The coward dispatcher had the cabbie apologize for him. What's an apology when my pay has been docked because of your unprofessionality!!\t\n Unbelievable, u would think I could have a ride compensated for my troubles but I guess it's not about customer service. I'm telling you just like I told the cabbie to tell the dispatcher, if youre gonna treat your regulars like that, then I hope ur airport ride caller gives you as much business as I did. \t\n\t\nKeep your fingers crossed people!! I am amazed that anyone would rate this company lower than four stars. Granted I don't call often, but they are reliable, prompt--and the drivers are personable, some even funny conversationalists! I will always use them, and I will always recommend this service. And if the dispatcher is curt, try being a dispatcher with 20 phones ringing at the same time, and everybody in a hurry! I think he has a wry sense of humor! They were sympathetic and extremely helpful in this past snowstorm---arrived on time, although they were clearly stressed. Highly recommended.
