Found a car that I loved on carsforsale.com. It was located at "Starter Cars" I drove an hour and a half to talk to Mike (the owner) who was wonderful the first time we met. He said that the car was in the garage getting new brakes. We discussed the Internet price and the great deal he could give me. I spoke with him several time on the phone and drove back down on Monday to sign the papers. When I got there he showed me a list of other items that he supposedly had fixed and told me the price had went up $500!!! But I shouldn't worry....when he got me the loan he added that amount in!! WHAT!?!?! Didn't talk to me about it in any of the phone conversations, just assumed that I'd accept the increase! I didn't!!! I didn't just walk...I RAN AWAY from this SHYSTER!! I bought a car there that they said was just to garage and only needed breaks. Driving home th car was fish tailing all over the place and all could smell was exhaust. Went to turn into my driveway and there was a loud clicking in the front end. Next day there was this 5 foot long thing that came out of muffler that looked like hair so I called them and they told me bring it down. I did! I thought they wuld have given me a loaner car to use considering I just bought this car. Nope!! I had to take it back down and then they did let me use a car. They said they took it to gaage and I would have it back next day. Nope! They said they had to replace both cv boots on it. I asked what about muffler and fish tailing. He said he didn't know he would find out from the garage. I pick it up next day and they tell me nothing was wrong with muffler and they found nothing with the fish tailing. Driving home the car sounded loud, had my husband crawl under it and there is a baseball sixed hole in muffler. I called and let them a message that they didn't tell me the truth about muffler or back of the car because next day I had it to garage and it needed sway bar linkage. They ARE NOT HONEST..like I thought they were. They told me the first time I took ot back that they would fix what ever was wrong with it to " make it right!" They didn't!!!! I will never deal with them again and would never recommend them to anyone. They make you think they are honest but they are LIARS>>>STAY AWAY!!!! The bad sway bar linkages almost made me wreck on the highway with my kids in the car. The whole reason in buying the car was to have a safe vehicle!!! ...read more

We bought a van there a week ago and it had a crack in the windshield which they said they would fix. My wife dropped off the van and told it would be about 45 minutes. They asked her if she wanted a ride to the mall so she did not have to wait at the dealership and they would call her when it was finished. Two hours later she called and is told the window is drying and they will send someone to get her. After 30 more minutes she called and was told the person was on their lunch break and would be over when they got back. She had to wait another hour before she was finally picked up. Needless to say we will never be back to Dean Patterson for anything. Their customer service is awful and they were total unapologetic about the situation. ...read more
