So far I really like my new glasses but I'm unimpressed with service. I was told that I had to pay an estimated balance up front and I'd be refunded the difference. 22 days and counting and no refund even though my insurance has paid them. I will be going elsewhere. ...read more

Binyons

I stepped on my glasses, which were plastic frames. Though my warrenty was up, I decided to take them to the Binyons to see if there was any chance of repair. Of course, there wasn't (they were very smashed). Even though the warranty was up, the lady who was working looked up and found that my frames were no longer offered. Then she looked through an inventory book and found that Salem didn't have the frames but a store in Beaverton had the frames and she would request for them to be sent to Salem. She said she would call me and let me know when or if the frames would even come in. Two days later I get a call telling me the frames are at the store and I can come for them if I still wanted. When I picked them up, she put my old lenses in the frames. When I pulled out my wallet to pay, she told me the frames were free. Absolutely wonderful service for somebody whose warrenty had expired. Thanks you Binyons! ...read more

I went here for my exam and glasses. They talked me into a very expensive pair of progressive lenses. I told them that someone I knew does not like them and I was not sure that I wanted them. They assured me that if I did not like them I could bring them back change the lenses to a single less expensive lens and they would refund me the difference. They assured me of this two times. The glasses I bought were close to $800.00 and the single vision would have only been about $400.00. After I brought them back, and went to pick them up I inquired about refunding me the difference that we had talked about previously. It was at that time that the workers there told me oh no it's our policy we don't refund we just put you into something you like. I said that was not what I was told. I was told to call the optical manager the next day. I called her and she told me the same thing. I asked her if she had heard of informed consent? and she said what is that. She then heard me say that I was double covered and seemed to be more interested in getting the other $200.00 dollar deductable from my insurance. She said she would call me back and never has. Don't use this business I think this speaks for itself. ...read more
