Sherm's is my favorite grocery store. It is the only store of its kind in the Roseburg area. Instead of an upscale, expensive-looking building you will find a basic grocery store and low prices. They have very reasonable prices on meat, produce, eggs, and lots of other things I buy regularly. When compared to the other stores in town, the meat is significantly cheaper, though perhaps not as fresh. If you are going to cook it or freeze it that day or next, it should be more than OK. Produce tends to be of slightly lower quality than other stores' produce, however, many things like bananas and mushrooms are identical to other stores. Tomatoes on the vine are usually very good quality and much cheaper than anywhere else. Pineapples are usually ""Maui Gold"" brand and are a little moldy looking. When they get a brand like Dole, then the pineapples are the same quality as anywhere else. Bread seems to be priced a little higher than at another store I like, so I usually have to go to the other store in order to pay what I feel is an acceptable price for bread.
