The Citybikes President, Tim Calvert, has been involved with antisemitic organizing for years, and does activism with Holocaust-deniers and white supremacists. This has been a known problem since 2009, yet Citybikes tacitly supports their President's bigoted political organizing. Unbelievable how horrible this bike store is. NEVER EVER GO HERE FOR ANYTHING. If u want to be treated like an idiot who isnt as into biking as their omnipotent biker employee is. Not only can u go to other shops for way cheaper prices, u can be treated like a regular human being.\t\n\t\n\t\nEarlier today I went to River City to use an old gift certificate. After asking how much was left on the gift certificate the nice counter woman said everything, go spend it. while attempting to use my gift certificate, Gary, a store manager intervened an proceeded to tell me it was invalid an none of it can be used of the 125 dollar gift certificate. obviously i tried to figure out the problem. Gary treated me like a second class citizen. physically snatching the gift certificate from my hand then tearing it up. Being treated like this is beyond me, i dont understand how someone could treat a customer in such a way an expect to keep their job. Not only do i miss out on my Christmas present from last year, i get treated like some insignificant idiot criminal by Gary. He obviously lacks major social an customer service skills, or maybe just common sense. What happened today was atrocious,I have honestly never been treated so disrespectfully in my whole life (no lie). If an owner would have witnessed what happen today, Gary would be fired, NO QUESTION. I am hopeful that this message will be read by a respectful an intelligent person who will recognize the magnitude of Garys actions an how it represents the store. ...read more
