City Towing Co Inc

5.0

By mmathews

Yesterday was the second time I have had to call City Towing to come to my rescue and their service remained consistently superb. The first time was in July of last year. Temperatures were nearing 100 degrees and I was driving a refrigerated box delivery truck to downtown Portland for a 4pm delivery when my truck lost all electrical power in the middle of Burnside. I called two other tow companies before finally calling City Towing. They were able to respond immediately and the driver quickly plugged my truck into his in order to get power to the refrigeration, saving thousands of dollars of frozen foods. He expertly determined my electrical issue, fixed it and got me back on the road within 30 minutes instead of having to tow me to a repair shop. I was so impressed that when my son broke down and needed a tow at 2am yesterday morning, I called them and once again, I was not disappointed. Thank you, City Towing, for excellent customer service and expertise. ...read more

Portland Car Transport

My car was assigned a carrier the day after booking and delivered to its destination within three days. They provided the best customer service ever! I was shipping my beloved car (which means everything to me!), so I decided to go with an enclosed car transport option. It was TOTALLY worth it and the driver was very professional. He was courteous and respectful, driving a beautiful enclosed trailer that would make the delivery and post-delivery inspection process very quick and efficient. My baby (the car) arrived with no damages and even earlier than expected. Wow! I wish I would have found this service sooner. The only issue I had with the company was finding a place to drop the car off. It was a block away (overall, not a big deal) because the driver said the street I was parked on was too narrow to enter/make turns in. This is understandable. Apart from that, everything was perfectly handled! ...read more

Gerlock Towing & Heavy Haul

1.0

By Buspro

More than 2 hours late to the job. Wrote down the info wrong and brought there biggest haul for a small bus. They said I asked them to haul a 75 passenger bus. The request I gave was to haul a 1975, puller engine bus, 23 ft. They couldn't fit the crane hauler they brought into the double driveway of a suburban neighborhood. Told me they had to bring in a smaller truck and it would take an additional 45 min. Already late, screwed up the info, dispatch operator was rude. I asked to speak with the manager. He called and when I voiced my concern and frustration with their service, he said I should be thankful he isn't charging me for both trucks, then threatened to turn the smaller truck around. That was the only thing they got right...reading my mind. Refused to acknowledge the mistakes or make any effort to rectify the situation. Will never use or recommend their service. Avoid at all cost! ...read more
