Yesterday was the second time I have had to call City Towing to come to my rescue and their service remained consistently superb. The first time was in July of last year. Temperatures were nearing 100 degrees and I was driving a refrigerated box delivery truck to downtown Portland for a 4pm delivery when my truck lost all electrical power in the middle of Burnside. I called two other tow companies before finally calling City Towing. They were able to respond immediately and the driver quickly plugged my truck into his in order to get power to the refrigeration, saving thousands of dollars of frozen foods. He expertly determined my electrical issue, fixed it and got me back on the road within 30 minutes instead of having to tow me to a repair shop. I was so impressed that when my son broke down and needed a tow at 2am yesterday morning, I called them and once again, I was not disappointed. Andy's towing Is fast. The owner does speak English but not that great. he understands everything you are trying to tell him. it is just a little hard for him to convey what he is trying to say. His drivers are VERY friendly and will do what ever they can to help. The business is a small business, you can look on google maps to see that his lot is very small. its location is close to 82nd and crystal springs BLVD by the spring water corridor trail. The office is in a small trailer located behind the locked gate, the gate has razor wire to keep people from breaking in and damaging cars so it may look scary to some people but it is clearly for security purposes. also for added security for both the property and customers, there are multiple security cameras. So even if you did get jumped in front of that business it would be recorded and would help lead the cops to who ever did that. added to that is its location on 82nd ave. where cops patrol VERY frequently. I believe others made bad comments due to the fact that their car got impounded and got mad and wanted to do something to hurt the business. ...read more
