Highland Market

1.0

By Exerzenterxx

I had a very horrible experience at this market. I always turned in can there and mostly got cigarettes. But when my husband lost his job, we stopped going in so much because we had to make sacrifices and cut back on smoking. One day my mom gave me her cans, so I went there to turn them in. It was really convenient most of the time because I could count them right into the basket, rather then standing out in the cold all day. \r\n\r\nThis day while I was turning in my cans, the owner of the store flipped out on me, started screaming at me that I never go in there anymore but I turn in my cans. He started to cuss at me, and I started to cry my eyes out while trying to explain why I haven't been in the store as often as I used to. I asked him why he was being so mean, and he started to scream louder at me, and told me not to give him that bs. I went outside to the car to clean up my face. I came back in to get my money that he threw at me. I told him that I would never go in there ever again, and he said that he hopes I never come in again (While cussing more at me even more). I got really worked up because I was already really upset and told him that I hate him, while expressing a few cuss words of my own. That is when he said OH YEAH!! Then started towards me. I was crying the entire time, and he didn't care how he was treating me. (Mind me, this is the owner of Highland Market). \r\n\r\nI will never ever go back to this store. I have worked customer service 8 years of my life, and I am only 25 years old, and I know much better then to ever treat any person that way. ...read more

The Buckboard Grill

1.0

By ToddCramer

The people at the Buckboard Grill are the rudest I have ever seen, especially the owner, Rod Barth and his wife and kids. The food was not what I wanted. When I told the owner that I didn't like the food and wanted to send it back, he yelled at me telling me I was trying to get something for free like a moocher. I will not be going there again. ...read more

Sunflower' Thai Restaurant

By Home and Garden Handyman

I just love this place. It's low-key, like a coffee shop, but the food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. I can't make Thai chicken green curry like this at home so I always get it here. It's enough for a large meal and a snack for later. The waitress is very nice and the cooking great. Try some of their jasmine tea. It's great, too. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I think I'll stop there on my way home from work tomorrow... ...read more

River's Edge Restaurant

5.0

By DidierT at Citysearch

River's Edge was re-opened on April 10, 2012, by new owners Bob & Darla Feil, with Executive Chef James Daw at the proverbial culinary helm. Chef James used to be at The Nunan Estate/Carriage House in Jacksonville until it closed, so if you've been there, you may recognize him. For appetizers, we had the beef skewers, calamari & ahi tuna - YUM!!! I had the lamb shank with mushroom risotto - amazing! All new, pleasingly eclectic, pacific-asian-esque menu; new staff; fresh paint; new decor - FANTASTIC, and packed (a good thing!). Icy beer & great selection of the same. Good wine list too. They also do a Sunday brunch, but I haven't checked it out yet - have heard good things though. ...read more

One Fifteen Broiler LLC

My son and I had dinner at your restaurant last night. Oh first off you misspelled restaurant on your web page. Any ways my son has never been to a place like yours so I briefed him on what to expect. Most of what I told him to look for did not happen. We placed our order, and when we did I informed the waitress that it was my son's 18th birthday. We both ordered the rib eye steaks. When our salads arrived we were not offered "fresh ground pepper". He asked why, I told him I guess they do not have it. A while later the couple behind us was asked if they wanted "fresh ground pepper" for their salads. We had your Kobi Beef appetizers, when we finished them the waitress nor her assistant took the plates away. They stayed there until we finished our meal. That goes for my sons salad plate as well. Now I worked in a meat packing plant a number of years ago, and the rib eye was juicy but a little tough. Now the wine was superb! What the waitress recommend was fantastic! ...read more

How Do Restaurants Make Enchiladas?

Many people think that an enchilada in a restaurant is much better than anything they can ever find at home, unless they know a lot of Hispanic people.
