In the springtime, I brought in an old bike and told him that I needed the carbs worked on. I also told him I didn't have much money to spend on the bike. Throughout the summer, every time I called him he said that he hadn't had time to look at it yet.Sometime after summer was over, and the riding season had ended, I found out that he had spent most of the summer out of town, doing some construction work. When I showed up to pick up the bike, I found out that he had done SOME work on the bike, but hadn't touched the carbs.He replaced the battery, the engine coolant, and the oil, three jobs that I could easily have done myself.When we were getting ready to load the bike into my pickup, I noticed that he had an invoice in his hand.
