Duct Geeks

5.0

By Keith1

We found Duct Geeks through an introductory offer, very happy we did. We had a new furnace installed recently and were told we should have our old duct work cleaned, which hadn't been done for over 10 years. We weren't sure what to expect, but we thought since we had a new furnace that things were in pretty good shape. When Dust Geeks was done we had literally a couple of bushel baskets full of dense crud removed from the system, incredible to see. They really know what they are doing, and they aren't faking it - this is a good maintenance investment. Our initial worries about what to expect were quickly set aside by the thoroughness and care shown by them when they got to work, and we completely plan to have them back again in a couple of years to check things over. They are a small family run team, so the people you talk to when you call are the same ones who come out to do the work. They have invested in modern equipment that seemed to work really well for the purpose. We found it's a good idea to help them ahead of the appointment by removing all obstacles from around the registers and air returns, and it's going to be necessary for them to get to the furthest reaches of the ductwork in the basement too, so clear a path under all the visible furnace ducts. Our job took several hours, and we sincerely feel that the Duct Geeks earned every dollar we paid, great job. ...read more

Furnace went down on Saturday night - I called them Sunday morning & ended up fixing it within about an hour. Service was fine & the technician was friendly, I don't know what the other people are complaining about.\t\n\t\nThe technician went over all of the parts of the furnace with me & even explained some things & parts that I could replace myself. The price was above what I would consider average, but the work was on Sunday, which I assume was weekend rate. I would use them again. ...read more

Shelter Products Supply

We were referred to Pacific Hydronics by a friend. We paid them to draw our radiant floor heating and air to air heat exchanger plans. We also were planning on purchasing all the products from them. A few weeks into the process the knowledgeable employee that was helping us left the business and everything started falling apart. The plans that we paid thousands of $ for were wrong and I had to redraw them, the supplies always arrived very late and the prices went up. I, actually, never did get two parts from them after 1 1/2 years of asking! Save your time and money--go someplace else! ...read more
