I had a similarly unsatisfactory experience with these folks when I tried to replace/repair a camera lens that came with a body I purchased from them. They were non-committal about whether there was a problem with the lens or not (it sticks when zoomed in or out--that seems like a problem to me), and seemed to be looking for a reason to tell me the thing was fine. I talked to two people, neither of which seemed to have the authority or knowledge to tell me what could be done. I had to call back the next day, when I was told the lens could be sent off for possible repair, which would take 4-6 weeks. The main problem I had was lack of customer service skills. If there's nothing that can be done to repair or replace my brand new lens, then fine. But just don't sit there zooming my lens saying, "Yeah, it sticks. So does this other one...we've had some that do that", and then not suggest it might be possible to fix it. ...read more
