I have not been late on a payment until last month, so I asked the man could I just pay this until my pay day, he said yes so I gave him my $50 yesterday, and when I woke up my car was GONE! Don't go here they take your money, then you have 1o days to come up with 1,800 just to get it back out. They took about $800 from me. ...read more

SHOULD THE RIGHT TO BE A PARENT HAVE A GENDER?
Children have unconditional love their parents no matter what they are or who they are. I am in no way referring to a situation where a parent has acted or continues to act in a manner that is a threat to the health and wellbeing of the child. I am talking about the benefits that children get when their parents are involved with them on a daily basis. I am not a psychologist, nor do I claim to have any formal education in children. I am simply a parent and an attorney who works in the Family Law, Juvenile area. I hear too often from parents that their "child is a boy and should be more with father", "the child is under five years old and should be with mother", or "parens should only be a mother and a father" and finally "let the child decide". First off, what an awful, awful, awful, awful imposition to place on any child by letting them decide. Making a child decide between parents, who they love equally is probably next worse thing as being abandoned by any parent. Secondly, when I say this a lot of people may wonder what planet I come from, but why can't parents focus in on what the child needs and desires and work together solely for the purpose of providing these things. Mothers and Fathers together should have equal access to their children, and nothing should be measured by money. Of course as I mentioned earlier, this blog does not refer to anyone parent who has committed a crime against a child, lives in a manner that creates an illegal, unstable lifestyle that would otherwise impose on a healthy wellbeing of a child. What is so wrong with letting children be children and allowing them to having nothing but the positive, healthy involvment with both parents? I think we need to decide if we want to look at our kids in th eyes and see their souls tearing as you say, you will not be seeing your dad because he did not pay child support and besides he doesn't care about you he barely calls or is always too busy for you, when we speak about the other parent or too the other parent in a manner that the children can clearly hear. If you think that babies are not affected by this think again. There comes a time when an infants world expands beyond the mother's milk and this is very early on, when fathers need to have more consistent interactions with the baby on a daily basis. Children benefit from love from all members of their family whether it is a non traditional parents or traditional, the more support the children can receive from those involved with the upbringing of the child builds stronger children. To me it seems that the focus should be on consistency and all parents should put aside their biases meet at the table from time to time to discuss the upbring of their child(ren) and what is working and what is not working. Of course this should be completely out of earshot from the child, and both parents should be able to speak to the child(ren) together in addressing children issues.
