Received call from Yellow Book they recorded the conversation they say I agreed to place an ad when I did not agree to it but did say yes to a question the caller had asked now they are trying to collect this bill from us that was not aurthorized. Beware of taking any calls from yellow book do not say yes to any question they ask or you will be billed for something you did not agree to!! Yellow Book/Transwestern has always been a poor product and is no longer necessary because of the internet, all Directory advertising does is polute the environment, kill trees and promote littering, please do the right thing and ban all books delivred to your home and use the internet to search for products and services, better yet ask someone you know for a recomendation for a product os service. ...read more

Unfortunately, I am in the same predicament. I've always paid my Yellowbook account in previous years, but this year has been exceptionally difficult. I am making a payment today that will bring us within being 90-days past due, but this will be my last year with Yellowbook. Their prices are exorbitant! I have EXACTLY the same size, colors, words, and number of occurrences listed in 3 different phone books, Frontier, AT&T, and Yellowbook. AT&T is only 15% of Yellowbook's rate and Frontier is 50% of Yellowbook's rate. Really, who does Yellowbook think they are?
