PicMed of Oklahoma is announcing a new "Pic Your Price" program for seasonal flu shots. From November 29th through December 4th, patients can visit any PicMed location and name their price for seasonal flu shots based on their budgetary limitations. This community service is in response to the difficult choices many Oklahomans face when choosing preventative medical care for their families. Pic Med recognizes that the current economic climate has reduced the amount of discretionary spending for Oklahomans. In previous years, governmental health agencies provided flu vaccinations at little to no cost. This year, those agencies are charging for this service and other providers are often more expensive. Pic Med of Oklahoma is excited to announce the opening of a third Oklahoma location. Located at 7919 N. May Avenue, this Oklahoma City location is perfectly positioned on the map to serve a large part of the metro area. Outside of only a few areas within the OKC metro grid, patients and customers can reach us within minutes. In June of 2009 Pic Med opened its second location in Norman. A success from the beginning, the Norman location filled a need in an underserved community. However, the Norman location quickly taught us that the need for our services reached well into Oklahoma City, yet the Norman location was too inconvenient for some of our Oklahoma City partners. The need for efficient and affordable drug testing and lab work in Oklahoma City was evident and the N. May Avenue location should fill this void.
