We had another local company for years but when our alarm went off and no one called we were very concerned. We switched to Safe and Sound Alarms and were very pleased by how thorough they were. They identified and showed us the problem, our phone line to the alarm panel had been cut. We had a telephone company come out about 5 months prior to do work and they had cut the line. The other alarm company never called. Safe and Sound Alarms repaired the phone line, fixed a faulty motion the other company refused to fix all for free. About 2 days later we had a fire in our kitchen and the fire trucks were there in no time. I had a 100 amp box that needed to be reworked and a 4/0 wire that needed to be added to that box. Two men showed up at 12 noon. I told them where the poll was and what I needed done. They told me they were going to brake for lunch and then get right on it. One hour later they were still sitting in the truck. At about 1:30 they started working on the poll, then about 3 pm they appeared to be done. It took them about 30 more minutes to bring me a statement. The statement did not have any pricing just a total and next to the two mens initials was the number 3.5 with a circle around it. The work was not 3.5 hours long, the charges were considerably more than I expected. The only conclusion I could come to was I must have been the one buying lunch that day. If I were to use this company again I would first ask what the customary charges would be and how long it would take before they got started. ...read more
