Wee Care Day Care & Learning Centre

On more than 3 occasions I found my child with dangerous objects in the mouth - any of which should NOT have been there under ANY circumstances IE: shredded wood from mulch in the playground (yes - they use mulch for a floor material) a large crayon which was chewed long enough to turn teeth green, and finally a small broken light bulb IN MY BABY'S MOUTH! The 3rd GLASS object was the last straw although I should have pulled the child immediately on the first offense. No one is perfect and there is no harder job than watching/mananging children however - if you have a child that is gregarious & explores the world, I wouln't recommend this facility - they are careless in the little details that keeps children safe IMHO. Imagine walking in to pick your child up and finding chewed broken glass in your baby's mouth? There's more - incident reports aplenty ( baby falling hitting head, cuts, bruises etc) and the girl who was watching these kids is still working there today. 12-20-2010 ...read more

Exciting Preschool Options

We have totally revised our layout for Fall!  We will now have a preschool class for children ages 3 &4 on Tues & Thur from 9am to 11:30am.  A Pre-K class will be offered for those children attending kindergarten the following year on Mon, Wed, & Fri from 9 to 11:30 am.  These classes will be taught by Miss Susan.  Anyone enrolled in daycare will automatically be enrolled in the appropriate preschool class for no extra charge.  Our curriculum is based on Ohio's Early Learning Content Standards and also is flexible enough to take the interest s of the children in mind while planning activities. ...read more

Summer School age Curriculum

Summer is just around the corner and so is "I'm Bored!"  We are busy finalizing our summer plans here at the center.  We will have regular field trips to the local elementary school to utilize their playground, and local trips to the area reaturants as treats for lunch for good behavoir.  We are also planning other trips or special guests to coincide with our themes.  We wish to seperate our school age children into groups by age this year to better serve the needs of all the children.  I am personally lookingg forward to an emphasis on science this summer and Miss Jan would like to share cooking techniques with the children.  If any of our kids or parents have sugesstions, please email us with your ideas! ...read more
