Villas At Little Turtle

DO NOT LIVE HERE. I cannot express this enough. If you want to be charged damages that weren't caused by you, but were caused by their old, decrepit apartments falling apart then after you move out you do not hear about these damages until you're getting called by a collecting agency 2 weeks later (which they are supposed to attempt to send you the charges with a breakdown of the damages- The Villas did not do this) They also have to give you 30 days to respond, yet I was talking to a collection agency not even 14 days after I left, therefore they didn't even try to get ahold of me (probably because they knew the damages were something they should have been paying for). I paid this right away of course as to keep it from hurting my credit. I thought it was done and taken care of. A year and a half later, I am trying to apply for an apartment and get a call from the leasing agent processing our application only to find out The Villas did NOT record my check, yet it was processed and the money was taken out, so they had NO account of me paying the ridiculous fee. They have a continuous cycle of management because it is such an awful property & with their company based in CA, it seems like they can't make wise employee decisions nor do they care to hire quality property managers. The property manager as of 12/19/2014 is rude, unapologetic, stuck up and treated me like I was in the wrong and was annoying her or taking up her precious valuable time that she could be spending sitting and getting on Facebook in her office. She didn't introduce herself, yet I did, as I was trying to be nice about the situation which I shouldn't have even wasted MY time doing because this situation surely didn't call for any niceties. She couldn't find records or access the transactions, which for auditing purposes is ILLEGAL. All she could say as a reply to me was "I'm waiting for a call from my area manager" which was her excuse all day long, so apparently it was not enough of a legal matter or emergency to handle before the end of the day before they were closed for the weekend. They should be held accountable by law for their incompetent management problems. I pity the folks that live there currently. The property manager needs fired, for starters, and the area or district manager should probably step in and get their accounts under control if this is a problem that has yet to be fixed for A YEAR AND A HALF! Unbelievable. Highly unprofessional. I am not one to write reviews, but after this experience I want to try and save innocent potential residents from getting their credit destroyed, a possible future residency ruined due to lack of paperwork, getting their hard-earned money stolen by poor management/ leasing agents that work at this location, and the stress of having to deal with something that can easily be avoided by choosing another apartment complex in the area!!! Plus, their appliances are from 1980, their windows will send a breeze through your apartment that gives you chills and your bills will be outrageous....JUST DON'T LIVE HERE. ...read more

Renter's Guide to Tucson Arizona

Tucson forms the heart of a thriving medical community with 12 hospitals and medical centers in the Tucson metro area.  Home to a population of over 500,000 and one of the fastest growing cities in Arizona, Tucson's warm climate is a welcome change from the seasonal winters endured by many in other parts of the country.   It's the second-largest city in Arizona and is located in the southeast part of the state on the Santa Cruz River.  Tucson is also the seat of Pima County.  The Tucson area was originally settled by the prehistoric Hohokam Indians from about 300 to 1400 A.D.  The area is a popular vacation and health resort due to its sunny, mild, dry climate and unique desert location.  The city averages 350 sunny days per year.  Popular Tucson area destinations include the T Rex Museum, Arizona Historical Society Museum, the Center for Creative Photography, and the University of Arizona Museum of Art. If visiting Tuscon during winter months, watch for the Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase.  It's an annual event that draws international crowds looking to buy and sell gem and mineral related items.  Stop by the Tucson Visitor Center to peruse free information and be sure to purchase the Tucson Attractions Passport.  It's a booklet of two-for-one offers and discounts at Southern Arizona attractions. When you get hungry, think Mexican!  Tucson is home to some fantastic Mexican restaurants - some of the best in the country.  If you like Mexican flare, try these: Anthony's in the Catalina's, Hacienda Del Sol, and the Ventana Room. Some of the larger Tuscon employers include Raytheon, Wal-Mart, Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold, TMC Healthcare, and Carondelet Health Network.  The city is also home to the University of Arizona, another large employer. Homes in southern Arizona tend to favor the Mission and Old Pueblo architectural styles that reflect the culture and history of the area.  The cost of housing index in the Tucson area tends to run below the average in the western U.S.  Average rental prices for one bedroom apartments run approximately $550-$625, while two-bedrooom units generally range between $790-$815 per month (for the 2010-2011 time period).
