Hello. I have an appointment today. Let me apologize for several things.
First, I am unsure about the appointment time. I will call as soon as your office opens. I have grown accustomed to reminder calls, and when I don't receive one, I need to confirm it myself; for my memory is not what it used to be.
Second, there has been some strange insurance problems in which although I know I am insured, I have been moved around to 5 different Medicaid insurance providers within the past week. I was on Ohio Medicaid, then Caresource, then for about three hours last Friday I was on United Healthcare(?), then I was told I have been switched to QMB later that day. I do not know which I am insured under currently. I had received an automated phone call telling me that it had changed again from QMB to something else, but it didn't say what it had changed to. I had never requested to change anything, at any time. I have also yet to receive a medicaid card in the mail.
Third, I have twin toddlers in which I will have no one to watch. They will have to come with me. They have been through a lot lately with the move among other things. Please allow them to go into the examination room with me, as they have been actually told to leave once while I was at the OBGYN.
Fourth, I really had the desire to be organized and have all of my information transferred to you from my last OB-GYN. However, due to our lack of a printer and fax machine I am not able to print out and fax my release form to my old OB-GYN to give you my information. I was at Akron OB-GYN, and their phone number is: 330-668-6545.
Fifth, and last, this past month has probably been the hardest month I have ever had to deal with. Please take that into consideration. My husband or I barely have an income, and because there is a long waiting list at Job and Family Services and WIC, we are on a waiting list to even be seen. Our food money comes out of our pockets in the meantime, which there is barely any money to begin with. We have been without foodstamps and WIC for almost a month. This is an extremely stressful and depressing time for us, and I am in tears 85% of the day, every day. I am not by any means intending to make this visit uncomfortable, or inconvenient. I simply need to get to an OB-GYN because I am 5 months pregnant. I have only been to see an OB-GYN one time during this pregnancy. I do not like living this way, nor do I have a choice.
I will attempt to be friendly and upbeat, as well as professional and organized. If I am not one or any of those things, please accept my apology. This has literally been hell for us, and the fact that we don't know a single person in Trumbull County or any surrounding counties, we are unable to turn to either of our families for support. We are 100% on our own.
Once again, I apologize and I look forward to seeing you soon.
Thank you,
Sincerely, Mrs. Rhea Freeman. (330-988-9192)
