I received a quote of $400-$500 to install Thermador appliances in a new kitchen. After meeting the installers in the morning, I left to take care of other business. Upon returning, I was told it took longer than they expected and I was presented with a bill for $700 - 40% more than quoted. I called the next day to express my dissatisfaction and try to reach an agreement on a lesser amount. Todd, the owner, said he would think about it and call me the next day.
