About Minerva, OH

Minerva is a village in the Canton-Massillon Metropolitan area. It has portions in three counties, Carroll, Columbiana, and Stark. The companies of nearby Canton are major employers. Students attend the Minerva Local School District. A major attraction, only a 30-minute drive away, is the Pro Football Hall of Fame, dedicated to honoring, preserving, educating, and promoting one of America's favorite pastimes. Every summer, back in Minerva, residents attend outdoor concerts on the lawn at the Municipal Park. Poet Ralph Hodgson is a past resident.

Shortly before I was due to leave on a trip to Florida, I discovered my heater was not working. The idea of driving through the mountains with no defroster was frightening. Chris the service manager picked my car up, the shop completed a very extensive repair to the heater in one day, and then returned my car to me. They even washed it! I purchased my truck from Loudon Motors of Minerva in September of 2015. Was treated very good as a client. I brought my truck in for its first service, with 4200 miles on it, on December 23. I recvd a call in the afternoon stating my truck was wrecked! I couldn't believe it. I even asked them if they had the correct vehicle owner. As it turns out, of one the service reps took it out for a test drive to see if he could identify a noise, and lost control, sheering a telephone pole completely along w a mail box, sent the truck airborne, then took 120' to come to a stop. All at 40mph!?!?? When I initially met w the GM, I was confident that Loudon would do the "right thing" and make it right. I called the GM the Saturday afterwards, and conveyed to him I did not want the truck back due to the lie and the abuse the service rep put my truck through. He said he would work w me once the insurance est came back. I put $10k down & made 3 pyts. In order for me to get into an exact match, I would have to invest $7k more.They want it repaired and will offer $1k for my inconviniences I call BS. Its in the shop now after 3 weeks of them dragging their feet &/or not responding to my communication(s), & will be in for at least another 3 wks. I'm sure you know what takes place next. I know what the state laws requires them to do. But even at that, they haven't ponied up to their social requirements thus far. ...read more
