**** OHIO - Highland County Sheriff enforces ""personal policies"" **** There is no ban on pit bulls in Highland County, but sheriff Ron Ward has enforced the prohibition of pit bull adoptions (or any thing that somewhat resembles a pit bull type dog) from the county dog pound to any resident of Highland County, even if the potential adopter carries the state required pit bull liability insurance. He has forced his personal beliefs on residents of Highland County (violating the sheriff code of ethics) by leading them to believe that his word is the law. This ""doggy-racism"" and abuse of power has led many innocent animals to be put to death at the pound. Get educated about the law and stand up for your rights.
